Welcome
Welcome to the upcoming LEIS Workshop 2023 at the Center for Electrochemical Surface Technology (CEST) in Wiener Neustadt, Austria! We are looking forward to an intense one day event with international LEIS experts from academia and industry on the 4th of May 2023.
The Workshop will comprise scientific talks as well as a poster session. A detailed event information, registration form, as well as a preliminary program can be found below. See you soon in Wiener Neustadt!
Workshop Schedule
All attendants are invited for a small get together event on the day before the workshop in Vienna. It will be combined with the closing event of our Conference of Applied Surface Technology (COAST), on the 3rd of May and take place at the Festsaal of TU Vienna, Karlsplatz 13. A shuttle will drive from Vienna to CEST Wiener Neustadt on May 4th at 07:45 (Wiedner Hauptstraße 7) and the main program will start at 09:00.

Travel Informations
The conference venue of the workshop is Wiener Neustadt, which is located ~50 km south to Vienna. Vienna itself can be easily reached via the international airport Vienna (VIE), followed by the City Airport Train (CAT) or several public railway connections (e.g. train S7, cheaper than CAT).
As ecologic alternative, numerous overnight train connections to Vienna are available https://www.nightjet.com/en/reiseziele). We recommend travelling to Vienna on the 3rd and taking our shuttle bus to the conference location on the 4th of May.
We will provide a shuttle bus to Wiener Neustadt on the conference day at 08:00, departing in front of the recommended hotel (see below). If you travel on your own, workshop address is Viktor Kaplan-Straße 2, 2700 Wiener Neustadt:
Accommodation
For the meeting itself, we recommend booking a hotel in Vienna and taking our shuttle to Wiener Neustadt on the workshop day. Vienna itself offers a wide range of hotels, but we specifically recommend the Motel One Vienna-Staatsoper, which is in proximity to the get-together event on May, 3rd, the city center, the shuttle bus departure and it comes with a reasonable pricing: https://www.motel-one.com/en/hotels/vienna/hotel-vienna-staatsoper/
You can either book directly at the hotel, or use this reservation form. for your booking. We blocked a contingent at the hotel for the LEIS Workshop and our COAST conference. The hotel can guarantee the rooms until 20.03.2023. After this date there might still be rooms availabe, but make sure to book in time if you want to stay there.
